MRCG CONDEMNS ASSAULT ON AYV JOURNALIST

The Media Reform Coordinating Group (MRCG) has joined one of its member organizations, SLAJ, in condemning the alleged physical assault on one of AYV’s Camera Operators, Foday Fofanah, by armed Sierra Leone Police (SLP) officers on 21st May 2025. Reports have suggested that the journalist was physically assaulted, pepper sprayed, and threatened with firearms, leading to him sustaining injuries, including a swollen eye.
