Validated SLAJ Code Of Ethics
This SLAJ Code of Ethics is developed and adopted by the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) in 2016.
The SLAJ Code of Ethics is to address the ethical issues1 facing Sierra Leone’s journalism. It draws inspiration and conforms to most of the principles drawn from other Codes of Ethics and international best practices. It is to ensure that its members adhere to the highest ethical standards, professional competence and good behaviour in performing their duties. This Code is to provide a guide to professional media practice, and is therefore applicable to all members of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists.
